Dr. Allison King
Allison is a native of Albany, NY, where she completed her undergraduate and primary medical qualification. Having completed Neurology advanced training at the University of Rochester then fellowships in Paediatric Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology, she was employed as faculty in the Department of Neurology in early 2004. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Child Neurology Society.
Allison moved to New Zealand in late 2006 and initially worked at Waikato Hospital, later moving into private practice once she obtained full specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in 2007.
Allison has an interest in child and adolescent Neurology, specifically headache disorders, Tourette’s syndrome, attention deficit disorders, and epilepsy.
